Picnic With A View

This is where we camped. The weather was nice to us. Cloudy the first day but sunny after that. Which means no rain. Our spot by the river that we reserved would have been nice but this one was lots of fun. (a tree fell and we were bumped out of our river site and put here)

My son and Mr. Boatman on one of their hikes. This is Mr. Rainier on the Sunrise side. I spent a lovely afternoon at the visitors center. Nothing like a picnic with a gorgeous view.
Riley told me that he didn't have time to blog while I was gone. I wonder what he was doing ?

The Summer seems to almost be at an end. Always too hot or too cloudy. A few lovely moments though were caught and enjoyed. Those are the ones I will remember. The kind I loved as a child. This is the last week before my son goes back to school. He starts his senior year. I thought this mini vacation was what we all needed. It was Purrfect.
(and my migraines are still with me but letting in the light every once in a while)

Love that picture of Mt. Rainier. We used to see the other side from our back porch when we lived in Puyallup, but only when "the mountain was out," as they say.

so glad you had a good break and had some sunshine. I think Riley might of been having too many snoozes!

What an amazing place to camp! Looks like the woods from the movie, Twilight! Mt. Rianier is just stunning (I could only imagine how it is in person!) Riley probably slept uniteruptus.

That's quite an incredible vista. I'm not into camping in a tent--too much of that while growing up--but Mt. Rainier would be worth it. :-)

I know you have migraines and can (unfortunately) understand the h*llish week I've had. I really hope you are feeling much better now too! Lots of (((hugs))) and Light.

So happy you went camping. Even though you missed out on the riverside idyllic spot, I'm glad the weather cleared and you got some sun. Our mountain sure is lovely, isn't it?

we love the way you muster yourself and carry on... admire your will to camp (Mrs H loved her comforts that little bit too much). Love Darcy and Bingley xx

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
