Pink

Think Pink

I have six pink cherry trees that line my driveway.
Most of the time they are just leaves
that either give me shade on a hot day
or fall all over the place which means I have to rake.
During the Holiday season
 we decorate them with lights.
They are in bloom
And, I mean
BLOOM
Pink petals
 everywhere
With the rain last night, I now have a pink driveway
When I drive down it, I get petals all over my car.
It seems that I wait all year for this color to appear.
The birds were singing in the rain this morning.
I bet they were telling everyone about my trees.
At least that's what I think.

How glorious! Our trees are not in bloom yet, though I saw on the news/weather that those in Toronto are. Even just three hours east of that city makes a big difference!

Enjoy the blooms; they are so short-lived!

How pretty. I'll bet it smells Heavenly. Our cold and snowy winter brought us a Spring that is absolutely brimming with tree flowers.

Beautiful, beautiful. Thank you for sharing these. It's very cold and windy in eastern New Mexico this morning, so these photos are especially welcome!

Are the cherry trees Kwanzan cherry trees? There is a beautiful memorial to the fallen soldiers of Viet Nam, across the street from my house. A group of women in Huntington, Long Island, planted a tree for each soldier. It is said to be the first Viet Nam memorial in the country. These trees number around 55 or so and when they bloom, which is this week, it is a wonderful sight.

This is beautiful in words and images. I love the idea of the birds singing about your blossom :-)
And yes, it really feels as though we wait all year for the Spring blossom to arrive - it is Nature's moment of frivolity :-)
My favourite month is around the corner: May is the epitome of Nature's beauty for me, how about you?
Thank you for sharing your blossom!
Happy days,

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
