By Accident Big Al got locked in the den over night. I had told Mr. Boatman that Bella, my chocolate lab, was napping under the puter desk area. Thus, I had closed the den door so the girls could have the family room/kitchen/den area. All I know is when I come downstairs this meowning, two faces greet me in the hall. The den door was closed and so was the bathroom door. (we have one of those walk through..two door..downstairs bathrooms) Big Al was on the couch and LOOKED at me. The room was a bit stuffy but he's ok. Only thing .. he got locked in the laundry room earlier in the day. What's up with his sluthness .. new word there ... is he a kitty cat ninja ? Thus, I've been petting him ... telling him that Grandma didn't do either of these things to him. (I'm his Grandma .. he officially is my DD's cat but she's in college and now he is mine)

It's Friday !!
Happy Dance Going On ...
Seems like it was a long week
My Dear Daughter was home
Visiting
Very nice time
She went back yesterday
just in time to see her
basketball team lose (Cornell)
Our local team lost too (WA)
Been planning for next week
Taking my son looking at
colleges & universities
Driving four or five hours
over to the warm part of
my lovely green state
It snows and gets hot over there
Not, when I'm going though
Checked the weather report
RAIN
Are you kidding me ?
So, I have to pack my big
umbrella for the walks
around the campus
Two hours walking in the rain
and then another two hours
walking in the rain
Is there no Holiday Gods out there ?
I wanted sun
That yellow stuff
I really wanted to sit by the river
(the city we are going to is known for it's river)
and relax watching a gorgeous sunset
instead I'll see clouds
Is there no justice in this world ?
I quess I can go see my
old High School Friend and
chit chat about RAIN instead.
(I was going to do that anyway but with that
ever elusive yellow stuff that she says
she gets all the time)
And, on that Friday Report
I will now drink my coffee
write out my list
and wish all of you a
PURRFECT
Friday
May it be a
Wow Meow
Kind of Day ...

I love your big Al cat! He looks like my Buster.
Good luck with your travels round the universities. What is your son going to study? It requires a lot of preparation, as I recall. I can certainly remember with great clarity the day we took our youngest off to Univ. for a three-year stint. I think I cried all the way back to my empty nest. However, once you get over that, it does have its compensations.
Blessings, Star
We wish you a PERFECT friday too!!!
...with sunshine for everyone.
Glogirly wants to thank you for stopping by her blog yesterday and leaving such a sweet comment about her dad. She was very touched by all the wonderful comments, hugs and purrs from our special blogging friends.

I think Al has the best weekend plans!
Hey Al! We like Fridays too!
Wow, Big Al really is big!
And think of it this way - the weather could be worse. Here is sunny and cold! I would take warm rain anyday!
Have a fun time visiting the schools!
Oh my JC! Big Al looks just like my girls!!
Happy trails getting around those universities!
..rain in April brings us May flowers!Look at me thinking ahead!
Big Al looks so sweet. I hope you enjoy your visit in spite of the rain. Best of luck!
No doubt your son must find choosing a school stressful. I can no longer remember how I went about choosing colleges or law schools.
he looks quite content, no damage at all!
Big Al is real big and also handsome!
Interesting ... our Sandusky got shut in the hallway closet for a long time the other day! He won't meow... just claw at the door.
That's Big Al too ... he never mews ... so, who knows how long he was in the laundry room ... hrs .. I'd done laundry early but he wasn't there. I think my son left the door open when he went in the garage and didn't notice Al when he came back.
Last night is all Mr. Boatman's fault though.
Al is fine now ... just he's so sweet and probably was looking out the window (the door is glass) and couldn't figure out what was going on.
Think positive about the rain, JC! You don't have to shovel it, or rub sore muscles of the guy who does the shovelling! And the flowers need the rain, and we have cars to get from point A to point B, except for tours of colleges.
Something's really nice about the time the kids are long out of college. No more tuition payments, no more worry about plane tickets for the holidays, and no more worry about their requirements for graduation. They both have jobs, health insurance, and are on their own. Time for Mom to travel! We all worked hard, and got through it without loans. *Whew!*
