Magpie Tales No. 2
As the water rolled over the rocks, she watched the orange skies end the day. She'd been sitting on the hill for a while enjoying the waves. She knew it was time to go back. The coldness was approaching and she was feeling the chill. Her sweater was waiting on the chair. When she'd gone out the door, she had thought it was warm enough. Now it wasn't. She got up and strolled through the tall grass trail. Turning her head at the last moment to view one more time the sounds of her heart. Entering the room, she noticed a log had been placed by the fireplace. She looked around and found a box of matches on the mantel. While watching the fire start it's pop & crackling noises, she noticed the cover. It reminded her of the match collection at her Mom's house. As a child, she loved reading where she'd gone. Funny that even here, there would be memories of her other world.

Funny how sometimes the chapters of our lives seem like other worlds. Well done.
That was lovely! It drew me in and I could see it all in my mind's eye. I really liked the photo too, such a neat match box.
