Roots of life

Meredith Ann
Looking oh so pretty

I looked in the mirror yesterday.
What did I see ?
My roots of life
The story was told in greys & browns
Reddish lines with whitish stripes
I called my local salon
After, picking myself up off the ground
Sometimes the look of reality
Can be a tilting exercise
They could get me in right away
That should have been my
You said What clue
What should have been an hour
Or an hour and a half
Turned into two and a half
Just to get my lovely old age
Turned into
I didn't notice a thing
Which is what it's supposed to look like
Right ?
I now need to get the locks of beauty cut
Imagine if I'd done both at the same time
I'd have been there for five hours
I did spy a new salon last night
Yes, it was dark by the time I left
I might just call around
To see what's out there
Do I dare ask how long it takes
I'm getting older
And, time is not to be wasted
I did get offered water or coffee
So, it's better than my visit to the vet
(Haven't heard back yet about Bella)
Tell me what you do with your
Aging Hair ...

I will admit that my gray hairs don't really bother me at all - they bother my aunt a lot more (my hair bothers her because it makes her feel older).

But lately, I have been dying it with that hair dye that claims it will improve the condition of your hair (but not doing the best job because last time there were still greys) because my hair breaks very easily and I always have tons of split ends - I have only tried it one time so far but it say with each use it gets better and better - we will see!

And that is an adorable picture of Meredith Ann!

Meredith Ann, you're such a gorgeous girl!

I keep my hair blonde so gray hair does not really show :)

I color my hair myself. I keep it short so it is easy for me to do.
My hair is really gray when there is no color on it!

My hair looks like your old posted picture did: long, brown, and straight. My gray is coming in very nicely, like a professional very light streaking. It glistens more in Summer. DH says he doesn't notice the gray from behind, but sees it from the front.

Locks of Love will take hair that is less than 20% gray. I think I'm still there. I might wait until it's warmer, then cut it all off and donate it.

Beautiful picture of Meredith Ann.

We know mamabug used to cover her greys....well, they were really whites....but we think maybe now her hair is all white naturally, but we're not sure......purrrs

I usd to box color my hair. Which meant I did it myself. It worked for years. Now, my grey is more white. I get my hair foiled .. ha ah ... foiled again. My roots grow in almost the same color. I used to be dark brown now I'm every color in the hair rainbow. Thus, the need for professional help.

Meredith Ann, you're looking furry lovefurly today! And as for mom's greys...she sucks it up and sits at the salon for 4.5 hours!

She is so pretty! My Dad said there is nothing wrong with gray hair...he would gladly take lots! Yep, he is folically challenged!

Meredith you are so sweet!!! And as for what I do with my hair, well when I trim it the inches get tossed. I color it a lighter shade of blonde then my natural color, but it doesn't cover the grey. I wish more grey would appear, then maybe I wouldn't color it any more. Right!!!

Meredith Ann, you are a beauty.

Our Mom has been gray forever and has never colored (mostly because she's lazy).

Well, it took Meowm awhile to start letting her hair gro wout gray....but now she is okay with it. And everyone tells her that it is gorgeous...and that helps her feel good aobut it.

Meredith Ann is absolutely GORGEOUS!! I'm so glad you ended up with her.

My gray roots are showing horribly (I just hate to spend the money to get cut and dyed) and last week I actually called my salon and made my appt. It is for tomorrow at 11:30. We are under an ice/sleet freezing rain warning/watch and school has already been canceled for tomorrow because we should definitely ice over tonight. Looks like it will have to be gray a while longer!

I turned gray in my 30s and was not ready to go natural! I have been using Natural Instincts temporary color for years. It is easy to do yourself and easy on your hair!

I just let mine be. Too much trouble to do anything else.

What a beautiful picture of Meredith Ann!

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
