Monday Mews

The end of the weekend ...

I'm upstairs with some of My Purr Gang

Al is by the fan ... not blowing but he's sitting by it. His mice are near by. One is a yellowish striped one and the other is white with black spots. He won't admit it but he loves his catnip toys. Jasmine is sitting between the laundry and magazine baskets. Hiding she is. Bella is at the foot of the bed ... snoozing like she does. Ashton is sitting in the window feeling the night air. Riley just walked out of the room and down the hall. He's my adventurous one. The four of them ... cats ... had a bit of salmon for a snack. Bella got to clean the can. Maddy Jean is outside. She loves to go out there and bark and watch bugs and listen to the sounds of the woods. If a siren goes off ... we live by two fire stations ... that's even better.

We cleaned the garage. Started to at least. It still has work to be done but we worked on it all Saturday and a bit this afternoon. You can tell that things are cleaner. Paths are clear. Mr. Boatman is a messy person. His Father is too. That's what got me going on the garage. His parents are moving out of their house. You wouldn't believe the mess they have in their garage and basement. His Dad made a statement that got me going ... "they should have cleaned up all their stuff twenty years ago". Now, they are having their children ... who are busy ... do it for them ... at least that's what they would like. Anyway, I decided that Mr. Boatman would not end up like his Dad. He would clean his garage and it would be now.

I've taken a before picture and will take a few after ones, when I think we are done. I don't think I'll get Mr. Boatman to clean everything but I'll keep going til he stops.

Went to the boat with Mr. Boatman this afternoon. It is supposed to rain tomorrow. OK, stop a while and think about that. We haven't had rain in what ... 30 days or so ... might be more than that. That is simply unheard of for my part of the world. We have moss on our fence and front porch .. it rains that much. We have forests called ..The Rain Forest ... now, they need to be renamed ... anyway, the rain it is a coming back to town. (Mr. Boatman needed to put the cover on it ... been off for so long that I had to remind him)

Oh, while I've been typing this .. Riley has joined Ashton and they are making bookends on the window ... both looking out into the darkness ... listening and watching for bugs.

Peace has come back to my world. I think the demons that venture into my DD are gone for now. She seemed to be in a good mood. My son even helped clean the garage ... both days. Please let them stay this way til they move out on their own.

That's my update ... I wish I did more interesting blogs ... I will work on that.

Oh, Maddy Jean is barking to come in ...

I think your blog is interesting. Don't under rate yourself.
The salmon sounds nommy! I wish I had some.

I think it's a great idea to clean out the garage now!! Good luck with that.

Have a great week.

Oh JC silly Blogger. It is interesting! I can see your cats & dogs and have a kindering for you. You sound much like me about my furry family. We are currently at just 2 cats & three dogs (this is the first time we have more dogs than cats!)
Thank you for the window look inside your little corner of the world!

We also like your blog. Vrey interesting things going on over there. Glad the DD Demons are gone for a spell and the DS helped clean! That's always nice. And looking out the window into the Darkening Night? That's the BEST!!! Hope you have a peacefurl day!

It took me a month to clean out the garage and garden shed at the country house from all the stuff the previous owners left behind. Ugh.

My kitties all sleep in the bedroom but only three of them want to sleep on the bed. They usually stretch our and take up most of the bed and leave me hanging on the edge;)

Cleaning the garage is something I need to do. Need to get rid of a lot of stuff I thought I'd use but haven't.

I think Mr. Boatman and my Karl are related. Messy, messy. My garage is a disaster zone currently thanks to the hubby. :-)

No rain up this way...yet.

Just back from the grocery store ... kitty food emergency ... no rain and that means I will have to water my plants which means it will rain right after I do that ..

This time I am not chanting .. rain rain go away ... it's rain rain where are you ?

And, again who would have EVER thought I'd be chanting for the rain to appear ...

Your discussions with your husband and his garage sound very, very much like my discussions with my husband and our garage. One day soon when he is gone on a business trip I will clean and organize the garage for him. That is what it will take. And I have plans !

I think just getting rid of things that acculate is so cleansing. All that stuff just drags us down!

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
