Holly

I read Ellen's blog

about her unwanted indoor growth
Naturally, I thought of my own situation

Better know as Holly

I have a Holly tree growing under my deck
Yes, it's a survivor

I noticed it last year and thought I should transfer it to a better local
Obviously, that didn't happen
This Saturday it did !!!

I had my hubby better know as Mr. Boat Man
Move it to a new location in the back wooded area
Near it's Mother

I hope it continues to flourish

When I lived in Alabama I had several holly bushes. Unfortunately they won't grow up here in Illinois. I miss the leaves and berries for Christmas decorations.

Wow! That's a really cool picture of the light streaming down on it.

I have a large holly tree in my garden too. Aren't they wonderful! Nature being so clever, the leaves are designed to prevent unwanted attention from passing animals, so your little tree should thrive in its new location.

We have a holly bush in our front landscaping and it behaves just fine - especially when compared to the out of control hostas!

You are sharing a great story here, and my husband and I too are blessed to have a brown tabby cat. Also a grey tuxedo cat.
Holly is a wonderful plant and looks very happy where it is, but will probably be happier when you move it. Only the females have berries which are a delicious buffet for songbirds.

I am so glad you transplanted it instead of ripping it out and trashing it.
I miss my holly bushes from the old home! They are hardy!

I love the light in the last photo!! Streaming light, and rainbows, too!
And I love the cats! They each have their own personality, and I think that is half the fun of having more than one cat!

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
